ON MONDAY WE WENT to Nant B h and we went Gorge walking. It was s fun. We went  in ponds with rocks and slid into the elephant’s bottom.

The next day we went orienteering and we had lunch.  After 20 minutes we had chocolate and biscuits.

The next day we went rope climbing on a rope course and that was fun too.

After that we went mine exploring a dark mine. We had head lights. That was fun too.

Then after that climbing in a chapel.

On the 23rd of April year 6 went to Nant BH. When we arrived we had a tour of our dorms by a staff member called Steff. There was 4 bunk beds; Grace, Freya and Mia were on the top, me and Cerys were on the bottom bed. After that we had jacket potato for lunch.

Next the instructor (Cheryl) told us to put our swim suits, t-shirts , wet suits and some shorts on, over them we put a fleece and waterproof pants and jackets on. We all got on the mini bus and when we all got there we had to climb up a large hill. By the time we got to the top of the hill all of our legs were aching!!!!

We went in alphabetical order to walk down the stream. THE WATER WAS FREEZING!!!!! We all went down the elephants bum, Miss Fisher was at the bottom of it catching us. When it was Mia’s turn Miss Fisher tried to catch her but they both fell down together!!!(It was very funny)!! Then Cheryl found a small waterfall. One at a time we slid down the waterfall- it was so much fun.

When we got back we were drenched. Once we all had a shower and got dry we had more time to unpack. At 5:30 we had to go in the dinning hall to have our tea- it was pasta. I was starving. After we had tea we went into the old classroom and did some orienteering with Jamie. We had teams. I was in a team with Grace and Mia called “creative comets”. We had to find numbers with a map(it was sooooo hard)!!! We had to go back when the van horn went off.

Afterwards we went to the games room and played table tennis. We went into our dorms and got into our pyjamas and had some hot chocolate and biscuits. Me Grace and Mia went back into the dorm.

It was so scary doing the abseiling because I fell off the side of the cliff instead of jumping. Half way through the journey we had our sandwiches that we had made during breakfast. We got: 2 sandwiches, a packet of crisps, a piece of fruit and a cake. Also we had our lunch with a few candles propped up with stones. A little later on we had hot chocolate and a few squashed biscuits,(Miss Fisher Sat On Them!!!) When we had this we were about 400 feet under ground!!

When we came back to the Nant BH, we had dinner….. it was fish fingers chips and hoops. Afterwards we played hide and seek, and it was girls V boys in the levitating stick………. Steff said that the girls were the closest…………………. even though no team did it.

After, we went to the games room and played ping pong, hangman, football and lots more. We then went to the dorm, got our PJs on and went to have hot chocolate and biscuits. During this time we got to go to the shop. I had so much fun!!! We then went to our dorm to go to sleep.
The next day we woke up and made sure we packed everything, unstripped the bed and we had our breakfast .
We then met with Jamie and Nick and we went to the ropes course. I partnered up with Jessica so we worked together!!

IT WAS FREEZING DOWN THERE!!!!!! We had to walk through a lot of water and walk up a lot of water falls. The rocks down there were really slippery. I nearly fell over into Freya’s back. We had to get into a boat to get to the other side of the flood. Cheryl said it was about 10 ft deep or more!!! I had to sit right at the back of the boat with Tom and Finlay. We had to sit on the back because we were wearing blue water proofs because we were smaller than the others. IT WAS SO SCARY!!! I thought that I was going to fall off into the water!!

Once we got to the other side, we had to put a harness on and a cow bell because we had to zip-wire over a really deep pool that had things underneath. After we zip-wired we stopped for lunch. Before we went we had to make our lunch because we were down in the mine for the whole day but we came back before dinner (5:30.) We turned our torches off and Cheryl lit some candles . Once we had our lunch we had to climb up a steep rocks. Then we abseiled down a cliff. After that we stopped for hot chocolate. It was so nice because it was warm. We also had biscuits but we only had crumbs of the pink panthers because Miss Fisher accidentally sat on them. Then we got out of the mine and walked to the mini bus.

We got back and we had to take our wet clothes off and get ready for dinner. For dinner we had fish fingers, chips and spaghetti hoops. After that we played hide and seek and it was really hard when I was a seeker because everyone was really good at hiding!!! After that we went to the games room for a bit and we played hangman and lots more. We were sent to go to get our pjs on and to go to the dinning room. Then the shop opened and we bought our gifts. Freya and I had a cup of tea and the rest had either a hot chocolate or squash. after I had my tea and biscuits I was really hyper!! Then we went to our dorms and lights were out at 10 because we had a really long day!! We also had to pack!!

On Wednesday we got up and finished packing. After that we went to breakfast. I had cheerios again and then I had sausage and baked beans. Then we went to the classroom because we couldn’t go to our dorms because the next school was there. We did a ropes course with a man called Nick. There was a young lady helping as well, her name was Mel. I fell off a lot of the ropes because I was really scared and I couldn’t stop wobbling the rope so I fell. I was attached to a harness and a rope so I was safe!! Then we were meant to go to bush craft but we were having too much fun on the ropes so we didn’t have time to do it, so instead we had 1 go each of indoor rock climbing.

After that we didn’t have long left because our mini bus was there. So in that time we had to eat our lunch and say good bye. So we got on the mini bus and came back to school.

On Monday 23rd of April 2018, year 6 went to Nant BH residential trip. The first thing we did when we went was we met Cheryl, the lady who was going to do the activities with us. We then had a tour of the building with Steff. We were shown to our dorms and how to make the beds. I was sharing with the other year 6 girls. Opposite to us there was the boys all sharing in a dorm. We then had time to unpack and make the beds. We chose that I was on the top bunk by the wall, underneath me on the bottom bunk was Jessica, opposite us was Freya on the top and Cerys on the bottom. Mia was on the bed next to Jessica’s, myself, Cerys and Freya. Next we had our lunch, which was jacket potato, cheese, coleslaw and salad. We then went to get our water proofs, fleeces, wet suits and then we went back to our dorms to get ready. We wore a swimming costume, a t-shirt, the wet suit, fleece and some baggy shorts. We then set off and walked up a big hill!! When we got to the top we balanced, jumped walked and bum shuffled. We then got really wet, there was two caves together and we had to slide down, Miss Fisher caught us at the bottom. Cheryl told us that we had just been through the elephants bum!!!!!! We then went in very deep water and we went under a fountain. Also we went on a long water slide made out of rock, I went on it 3 times! 1st I went on my bottom then I went on my belly and then on my belly again! It was amazing!
When we got back we went to the drying room. Our clothes were wet so we go changed and I had a shower. At about 5:30 we had dinner, it was pasta with mince, I could not have it because I am a vegetation so I had a tomato veg sauce instead. After we had an evening activity, it was orienting. We got into groups and had a team name to do with space. I was with Mia and Jessica, our team name was “The Creative Comets!” We were handed a piece of paper, it had numbers on it. We also got handed a map, it was a birds eye view of the Nant BH grounds. We all had ten minutes to find the numbers and crocodile clip the place where the number was. I thought it was fun!!!!! On one of the rounds we found William Walsh wandering around the forest so we helped him find his group. Eventually we found Finlay and Will D (his team.)
That’s why we were super late to get back. Next we went to the games room, me and Jess V Mia and Seth…… we won!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After we went back to our dorms and get our PJs on. Then we went to the lunch room to have hot chocolate and biscuits. After that we went to mess about till 10:15 then we went to bed…….. well we might have gone to sleep a little later!!!!!!
The next day I woke up and then woke everyone else up at 6:30(even though I woke up at about 4:30 am) Cerys tricked us though!!!!!!!!!!! We then had breakfast which was cereal and then bacon, scrambled egg and smiley faces. Then we had hard hats and then a harness and a cows tail. We were going to the mines. When we got there we walked up a long walk up the hill. when we actually went through the mountain it was cold we did a number of things including walking up a giant waterfall, zip lining across the cabins abseiling down the cliff and also climbing!!!!!!!

Steff showed us our dorms and showed us how to make our beds. Our dorm was called Gwydyr and the boys dorm was Llugwy. The dorms were very pretty but in the same time quite small. Mia’s bed was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo creaky and squeaky, every time Mia and everyone got up or down it,  all you heard was ekkkk. It was so annoying.

For lunch we had jacket potato and either coleslaw, salad or cheese made by the amazing cook Trudy. After lunch the fire alarm was going to be tested and we were told to put walking boots on so we went to the dorm and put them on. We were waiting by the door for a long time. I needed the loo…. all of a sudden it went off. We ran outside as fast as we could. It was fun. We were told it was going to be loud but to be fair it was just about loud enough to wake us up at night.

After that we were taken to the drying room for a rucksack for the cave exploration on Tuesday. We went to the chapel for the equipment and then for a wet suit for gorge scrambling in the afternoon. Gorge scrambling was awesome, Miss Fisher dropped Mia and she fell over with Miss Fisher. It was very funny (even Mia agrees).

We had pasta and sauce for tea, again made by the amazing cook Trudy. We did orienteering, the games room and then bed.

On Monday 12th of March me and Seth went to Prestatyn high for advanced mathematics. Firstly we did a logic patterns. Then we did a really hard sum where we had to find the height of some people . Me and Seth worked together really well and  found the right answer straight away- Miss was very pleased ! We brought a copy back to school.
It was a very good time and I would do it again.

On Monday 12th March me and Liam went to Prestatyn high to do a more able and talented  workshop in mathematics.
When we were taken into class we did a logic question and me and Liam were the first to complete the question.
Next we had a sum that took an hour and a half that involved height and bid-mas. Then we came back to school and showed everyone the logic question

On Monday 19th March, Alex and I went to Prestatyn high school to do MAT (More able and talented) English. We were supposed to go on a trip to NCAR ( North Clwyd Animal Rescue) because our topic -when we go there- is super hero animals stories. We couldn’t go there because if we go in a group we would have to be 12 or over. That was a big shame! So the first thing we did was make word searches with animals in the middle of the grid. Then we had to swap with someone else to find their words in their word search. I swapped with a boy called Reuben. Alex did a boy’s word search called Adam. Alex gave his word search to Miss Moore. (Miss Moore was the English teacher. She was very kind and funny.) After we did our word searches and completed the person’s word search we swapped with, we made a poem about NCAR. Alex and I worked together and we did three. We did a wiggly shape poem, a rhyming one and a poem that had a dog, cat and the paw sign of NCAR.Wwe wrote around the drawing of the dog, we put another shape poem around the dog. They were all about NCAR.

There was another teacher called Miss Reed. Miss Reed was very kind and said that me and Alex work very well together and that our poems were amazing. After we did our poems- because me and Alex finished before everyone else, we were allowed to talk. Before we did our poems we went for a morning break. We played tag! So after we did our poems we went for lunch. We went for lunch in the Caffi Enfys. I had three sandwiches, a cookie and an orange juice. The drink was FairTrade! After we went back into Miss Moore’s calssroom and we had to read our stories. Miss Moore recorded us saying our stories. We listened to them. At 2:45 we went to the reception and we met our parents and went home. Alex took me there and back. It was so much fun!!

Prestatyn high school

Me and Cerys went to Prestatyn high and did the more able and talented English workshop. It was  fun because although this was our 3rd time, we made even more friends and we even learned many new things that we didn’t know before.
First we went to Miss Moore class and we started with some word searches and I was one of the first to finish and Cerys was one of the last. I swapped with a boy called Adam, and Miss Moore took mine she said it was hard.

Next we did some stuff about NCAR and me and CERYS made 3 poems and had them displayed for the whole school!
