He brought a lot of technology with him
On Friday the 12th of November Mr Williams came and taught us how to use crumble. He brought a lot of technology with him. First he split us into groups then taught us how to get on to crumble and how to use crumble. Next we had to try and make a motor spin. Then he went in steps about how to use the wires and how to use the little sparkles that light up. We all started to make the little circuit to make the sparkles light up. After that we had to try and add more sparkles on so more light would show.
Last of all we had to try and make a haunted house or something that lit up or we could have made something that can spun on a motor like a ballerina. While we were making the haunted house we used something called a baton that had eight of the sparkles in. Most people did use the baton like my group.
I really enjoyed it and want him to come back because it was fun. By Jacob

Our saviour was Mr Williams.
Tech day!
This day was better than any day. We had a hero to defeat the evil of work. Our saviour was Mr Williams. He came in to do a day of technology. No writing! All programming! It was really fun. Mr Williams has inspired me to have more confidence when programming. I hate it when I can’t do things but that made me think I know how to program.
I got into school and got on RM maths and then Mrs Cummings came in to tell me I was not meant to be on RM maths so I logged off and went into our class. I saw a man holding several boxes with three batteries on them. They contained: wheels, motors, twelve wires, a motor and 3 sparkles which are like L.E.D lights. We started our day by making the sparkles glow by using the crumble. I got all the wires tangled and Lucy and Joe got mad at me because that was the reason the sparkles were not working- oops! Then we tried to make a motor work and it did not go as planned -as expected, but in the end we managed to get through it which was a positive thing.
After lunch we went into class and Joe, Lucy and I made the scariest sparkle show ever. Then Mr Williams turned our box to cars and we programmed it. Joe pulled out the graphics card and it was as hot as the sun. That was my exciting Monday.

It was so cool!

Technology day
Yesterday Mr Williams (a technology teacher) came to teach us for the day! First we were put into groups of three. I chose to work with Gabi and Lillia. Then we were given a box of supplies for the day! We had 2 sparklers, 2 motors, 2 wheels, 1 crumble and I can’t remember any more! Then we had to program the sparkles on a computer. Ours were really bright and colourful.
In the afternoon Gabi and I made a ballerina that turned around and it was so cool! Lillia had to go to a dance exam, so it was just me and Gabi in the afternoon. It was so much fun and I hope to do it again!!

He was a GENIUS!
Yesterday we had a technology day. I walked into school and saw a man in our classroom. I thought he was a supply teacher, but -no- he was a GENIUS! He was called Mr.Williams. He taught us all of the parts that we could use to build anything. We got computers and plugged a USB cable into the computer and then plugged that into the crumble controller/microchip so all the programming went on to it. He showed us how to light sparkles up and then after lunch we had to make something by ourselves. Me, Summer-Leigh and Josh built a carousel. We programmed it to spin around and then had flashing lights like a disco!

We went a little over the top with the sparkles!
Yesterday we had a technology day and we had to program a computer. When we did our task we made a Christmas themed spinning thing. It was pretty cute but we went a little over the top with the sparkles!
Then we programmed a car. When we put stop only one motor stopped and it started spinning around in circles! Overall it was a fun experience for us.
We learned how to program a crumble which is a little programming chip. When I saw Isaac, Lucy and Joe’s at the end they scared me and I jumped out of my skin. It was a little embarrassing but it was still a lot of fun.

It was a failure.
Yesterday we all had a technology day. We made a Christmas tree – Lily T took him home. Mr Williams showed us how to make sparkles; sparkles are lights. You can make the sparkles flash. When we put the lights through the tree it looked so pretty.
We tried to make a car move but it just went in circles. It was a failure. We made the wheel spin around. The app we used was called crumble. You had to put in instructions on the app, press go and it does what you want. We mostly used green, pink, blue and purple.
We had fun!

Computer bits and bobs.
On the 12th of November a man came in called Mr Williams and brought a lot of computer bits and bobs. The first thing we did was to make a light called a sparkle turn on with a bit of programming. After we lit the light we were told to make two sparkles shine different colours at the same time, then three and make a colour sequence. Our group (me, Abbie and Gabriel) did: red green red green red green over and over.
After all that bright colour we were told how to connect the motor to the crumble (the hub) and were told to make the motor move the wheel forwards and backwards. After service we were told not to force the wheel onto the motor and our assignment was to make the wheel start off slow and speed up and slow down again.
Just after 1:00 we were told that we could make: a carousel, a ballerina, a haunted house or make something up. I wanted to make a castle that spun around. Abbie wanted to make a ghost train and Gabriel wanted a haunted house so I mixed them up and came up with a ghost train that went around a haunted castle with a status that when the sparkles are red the ghost train went backwards.
Thank you Mr Williams for coming. Please come again if you see this!

It was very hard and also a lot of fun.
We had to build some thing that will spin. We had lots of wires to connect to each other. It was fun to build it- we did it all day. We had some card and we had it snowing in my one. We had the computer and programmed it. I thought if we had the lights in it,the wires would get muddled up. It was very hard and also a lot of fun. I learnt a lot of new things. By Daisy.W.

We all loved the sparkles because you can make it change colour!
On Monday we had a tech day. A man came in called Mr Williams. He showed us our box. We had one box per group. Joe, Isaac and I were in a group together and we were happy. He showed us what was in each box: 3 batteries and one battery pack, a USB cable, two wheels, two motors, a crumble, two sparkles and a switch. We all loved the sparkles because you can make it change colour!
We were told how to control it. He told us how to put the wheels on the motors without pushing it too hard – if we did push it too hard the inside would break and the wheels would not spin! We were told to pick either a merry go round, a horse, ballerina, haunted house or to do our own one. We did the haunted house. First we cut out the windows, stuck down the tracing paper and drew ghosts, devils and witches on the windows. We put the sparkles on the back and stuck them down. Then we set a stand so it can not fall down and set the colour to spooky like green/blue or black.

It was better than archery by loads
Zorbing
I loved Zorbing it was really fun especially when you fell over on your head it didn’t hurt though it was really funny. Miss Fisher recorded me doing it so we all had a laugh about it. I was really good at bumper zorbs but one person I could not beat it was Daisy H. She was the best! I just couldn’t knock her over, no one could . What I was really good at, well my whole team was, zorbing relay. We beat people flawlessly. We never made one mistake 1st place every time.
I totally recommend zorbing. It was better than archery by loads. But there was one thing that wasn’t that great……. I got wet socks .
