Yesterday it was the Eisteddfod and it was very scary and exciting. It was confusing how it was laid out: Dosbarth Derbyn was at the front and the 1 year was next to them, then year 3/4 were on the benches and we were on the chairs at the back. Then we waited until it was my turn and it was embarrassing! It took a very long for it to finish and it was my turn to sing. I could not speak though it was an accomplishment.
The tales of wales was very weird: he was jumping and throwing crosses.

I thought that Dosbarth Derbyn would go first but I was wrong; Yr 6 went first. They started off with Flynn and finished at Jake. Then it was our turn to do ‘Cysgu Draw’ by Zac Davies. We all did very well. when it was Daisy’s ( my sister ) turn She gave it a go she said ” I didn’t come 3rd I didn’t come 2nd or 1st ” but she was really proud of herself and so was I.
Once everyone was finished with their poems we went outside for play.

When we came in we went straight to the hall and did the singing. When it was my turn to do a SOLO I was shaking. That was it for the morning

On the 1st March Trelawnyd V.A school had an eisteddfod!!!! ;-)for Saint David’s Day.
Yr 5/6 sang 2 songs and 1 recitation. We sang the welsh national anthem and ‘Cân Joseff’, our recitation was ‘Cysgu Draw’ gan zac Davis .
Grace and I were very nervous. After we all did the recitation we did the song. I was in a group with Eve and Madison. After we’d gone through the cân Joseph the whole class sang the welsh national anthem .
We all went out side for an hour and we came back inside and two people had set up a few plays for us all. They did tales from wales after they had finished we all went out side to play. We came back inside and announced the winners and after that we went home!!!!

On the 1st of March we had a Eisteddfod!!!! 🙂
This is for Saint David’s Day
Year 5 and year 6 did a recitation. The poem was called ‘Cysgu Draw’, we did it all together then individually.Me and Jessica were very nervous.
After that we sang ‘Cân Joseff’. I did it in a group of 4 who were: Cerys, Freya and Mia.
Then we sang the welsh national anthem.
When we came in from play they announced the winners……
The drawing winners were
1st Mia
2nd Freya
And 3rd Jessica
The writing winners were
1st Mia
2nd me
And 3rd Finlay
After lunch Tales of Wales came in to tell us 3 tales of Wales.
It was great 😀
Then we went to class to announce the winners.
Then we went home.

Yesterday we had our eisteddfod. We all said our poem and sang. We drew daffodils and did handwriting.
First Yr 6 did ‘Cysgu Draw’ (the poem) then yr 5 did the same. Yr 4 did ‘Pitsa’ and so did Yr 3. Yr 2 did ‘Sos Coch’ so did yr1. Dosbarth Derbyn did ‘Jac y Do’ as their poem. Then we had a break outside.
When we came back in we did our song ‘Can Joseff.’ Me, Cerys, Mia and Grace were in a group. I came 2nd in the poem and 1st in the song, and 2nd in drawing too. We had lunch then we had story tellers from Wales that told 3 stories- it was amazing !!!

On Wednesday everyone in our school was at the eisteddfod. First was an intro from Reception then Y6 said ‘Cysgu Draw.’ Then it was my turn- I had butterflies in my stomach. I was big but I was scared… I mean very scared! I could cry.
After that I did ‘Cân Joseff’ I had a solo to sing. My confidence grew after last time. Then we sang the Welsh national anthem. Tales from Wales came in.

On Wednesday 1st March it was St David’s Day, so there was an Eisteddfod.The first thing that happened was Reception. They did the opening song called ‘Pum bloc melyn.’ Then year 6 did ‘Cysgu Draw’ in a group then on their own…. My favourite was William Howes- he was amazing!
The year 3/4 did a poem called ‘Pitsa’. Year 1/2 did ‘Sos coch’ and Reception did ‘Pum bloc meleyn’ again.
At the end we sang the welsh national anthem.

On Tuesday we had an Eisteddfod and had to sing in welsh and speak welsh and the whole school did the Eisteddfod. We sang on our own in the Eisteddfod they gave some of the children plastic saucers.
After that these people came in to the school and told us tales from wales. The children had to dress up in costumes. They called us names from the story and we had it to have their scripts. One of them had a box and when he opened it and there was a map, but then this fire appeared and burnt the map and that map had the coordinates to the dragon’s den but now they don’t know where it was!

Yesterday it was st David’s Day and it was the Eisteddfod. Dosbarth Derbyn did an opening welsh song; pump bloc melyn. And then it went right back to year 5-6 and we did our welsh poem ‘Cysgu Draw’ on our own. And year 3-4 did their welsh poem ‘pitsa’ and they did it on their own. Year 1-2 did ‘sos coch’ and they did it in two groups. Dosbarth Derbyn did ‘Jac y do’ altgether and it went right back to year 5-6 for our group’s songs. We did ‘Can Joseff’. Year 3-4 did ‘Brwysia’ and year 1-2 did ‘pawb i wisgo’. Dosbarth Derbyn did a nice song.

On Wednesday the 1st of March it was st David’s Day and because of that it was our school Eisteddfod. First we started with dosbarth derbyn singing their song about pum bloc melyn. Next Mr Williams started our morning and Mr Williams told yr 6 to do the recitation ‘Cysgu draw’ gan Zac Davis.
Next it was yr 5’s turn with the same recitation. Then after yr 5 it was time for yr 4 and their recitation was Pitsa. They took around 10 minutes to finish and that lead to yr 3 and they had the poem pitsa as well. After them it was yr 1 & 2 s recitation; ‘sos coch’. Then dosbarth derbyn recited their poem about a jac y do.
We had a quick break outside and then came back to sing the WELSH songs and we were first to sing. Our song was called ‘Cân Joseff’. I was in a group with Cerys, Freya and Grace. Then yr 3/4 sang ‘brwysia’. Then yr1/2 sang ‘pawb i wisgo’. Dosbarth Derbyn then sang ‘pum bloc melyn’. And then we had lunch. Before hometime we found out who won what. I won 1st place for singing out of year 5. 1st for the drawing a daffodil and 1st for writing our poem out in the whole of yr 5. Then we went home.
