Trudy the cook didn’t make any beans

On the 23rd of April yr 6, except Ben B, all went to Nant B H for two nights and three days. We were all really excited and just couldn’t wait for the day to arrive, one thing we were all a bit disappointed about was that we were not allowed to pack sweets and chocolate, but I understand that they want to be a healthy company.

I packed on Friday and put all of my stuff into the suitcase on Sunday.

We all arrived in school with our luggage and put it in the hall, we then hopped onto RMaths and 10:00 am soon came really quickly. Before we got on the bus, the bus driver was confused because he thought that we were going to Conwy and said that we were coming back at 2:00 pm in the afternoon- but we weren’t! He then phoned up and everything then started to make sense. We all jumped on the bus and an hour’s journey also went really quickly and we all arrived at Nant B H. We were welcomed by Cheryl and had a quick talk about the course for the time we were there. We then had lunch which was a tasty jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw, but Trudy the cook didn’t make any beans. After that we went back to our dorms to unpack and do our bedding and also have a fire drill ( which I loved because I love fire alarms. We waited for 5 minutes for the alarm and I was near the door ready to leg it. It was super loud.

After that we went to the equipment and climbing chapel for water proofs and a wetsuit ready to do gorge walking. It was really slippery, so much so that Will W slipped but he wasn’t wearing the correct foot wear- were you Walsh!?! We were all traffic monitors. There were some really slippery bits near the elephant’s bum, which is basically two rocks really close together that we had to slide through. I got really claustrophobic, but before long it was all over and we were in the bus on the way back to a warm cosy Nant B H shower. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
We stayed in our dorms for about 45 minutes and then had tea. For tea we had pasta bolognaise which was tasty. In the evening we did orienteering which was fun My group was me, Cerys and Freya. We would have won but the last map was really hard. We came second but Jamie the instructor said there wasn’t a prize for the people who come second!
8:00 pm
Jamie unlocked the games room and we played in there until 9:15 pm and then it was wind down time and lights out was 10:pm, although I was flat out by 11:10 pm #exhausted.

Day 2
Today we woke up at 6:00 am and we were just chatting for hours about nonsense, then tasty breakfast was at 8:00 am and we then got ready to go in the mines, we had a massive walk up slate mines and mountains and she said it was just a little walk! #liar. We then went into the forest for another 20 minutes and finally we reached the gates of the mine. We eventually reached really far into the mine, so much so that we couldn’t see daylight.
