We learnt that if water is 15 centimetres high it can sweep you off your feet, now that’s interesting!

Weather: rainy
Today at 9:15 we went to ‘Danger point’ in Talacre where we learnt of dangers in the world,(its in the name.)

First we went upstairs and were introduced to k-os pronounced chaos, on a massive screen. After that we all did a quiz on safety with.We were given a remote control where once we pressed a button it would act as a vote.

The activity we did first was in a farm-like place where we had a discussion about dangers of electricity and farms! One thing we learnt about farms is that hay is incredibly flammable and k-os was getting on the overhead electrical wires to get its kite!

Just after that, we went to the bottom of the flood activity; it wasn’t working. We learnt that if water is 15 centimetres high it can sweep you off your feet, now that’s interesting! Then we went to the beach safety place. Here my group watched a video of what the RNLI do and what to do when you are stranded in the ocean: you maintain your buoyancy and call for help.

Later we went outside to learn about road safety. There was a FAKE generator outside and we could try to take the backpack from it with a stick. It made zappy sounds and it also lit up.

After that we went back inside to go to the gift shop and I bought: a bendy pencil, a duck whistle and a pot of play dough.
