First we got to Talacre then we were looking for birds till Ruth Thomas came. Then when Ruth Thomas arrived Ruth said “I am Ruth Thomas and I’ll be working with you for the rest of the week and we will be working to the bird hide it might take 15-20 minutes maybe.”
So we started walking- it took a while to get there, I was freezing on my hands because it was cold there. When we got to the bird hide we met Dan from the RSPB the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. He talked about the birds that we are going to see. Then we got our binoculars so we could see some birds.
Seth and Ben B and I saw a shell duck and the Curlew is usually camouflaged but I saw one flying then it landed. I saw its wings come down it was pretty cool.I said to Seth I found a Curlew but when I turned around it was gone it was so camouflaged.
I found a pin tail we had to find these birds Pin tail,Curlew,Black tailed god wit and a shell duck. Miss Fisher gave us our art books so we could draw a bird that we could see so I drew a shell duck swimming in the sea.
I found a Heron it was really cool bird. Then we walked to the Talacre beach, my shoes got sandy though. We looked in our binoculars and I thought I saw a seal but it was a rock that looked like a seal but I did see a thing sticking out of the water. It might be a boat or a thing that measures the depth of the water we never knew but people said it was the thing that measures the water.
I loved going to the bird hide with Ruth and Dan you would have loved it if you went.
