Breath taking results

working with Ruth Thomas
On Wednesday me and a group of people in year 5 & 6 where doing PRINT MAKING. It was so exciting; we were printing our Art work that we sketched on Monday 30th at Talacre Beach. We started our line drawings on Tuesday- mine was a curlew and we printed them today.
So what we did was- in steps: we first covered our line drawings in a variety of colours and then we fed them through with the press so in detail the press is a mechanical machine with a big metal roller on so the drawing that you covered with coloured water oil.
You put a piece of tissue paper with three layers of blankets over it and roll it through the roller and take your results out and should have a beautiful result- well that’s what I did anyway! So I did about nine of them. It was fun, but still needed to concentrate.
After play time we got our line drawings and painted it with what ever colors were on the table which were mustard, green, blue, pink and then did the opposite to what we did before
we put the printing paper first onto the press and ON TOP you put your line drawing on and roll it through the press.

Out of 10 I would give it 11, it might seem like an easy simple Art job but it was something really breath taking on our results. I’m really impressed with my self because its not something you do quite often.
