Today we went zorbing. Patricia taught us how to get in the ball.
We were having a race. It was really fun and I wish we could do it again. Although they were very heavy. We played one last game. It was a bit like bumper cars although we were in a ball. That game was fun and very funny because some of us fell over. By Evie and Alexus.

We walked to the field and we did some zorbing, first they taught us how to get into the zorb , then we ran up the field in the zorb,it was really hard because the zorb was quite heavy. Next the instructor said to do it again! Then we bumped into everyone because the game was bumper cars where we bump into everyone on purpose. We also played another game where we bumped into each other and they were out. We think that Daisy H was the best at bumping into everyone.

Wednesday 20th June 2018
In gardening we have:
planted plants
weeded
watered plants
planted fruit/ vegetables and
cleaned out the sheds/dens.
At the moment there are Strawberries, Onions, Cabbage and Broccoli growing.
It’s really fun gardening. We enjoy it a lot because we get fresh air in a beautiful landscape. We enjoy all types of gardening. We mostly enjoy being outside in the fresh air we also like doing blogs about gardening.
We found spreading manure challenging because it was very smelly.

Gardening is a great way to get outdoors and to get fresh air. Thanks to Mrs Furneau we have improved various skills on how to plant and weed. We have planted various flowers, trees and vegetables and we have planted all things successfully.
In the garden we have planted strawberries and spring onions. Also we have weeded in the slate path, it has been very fun taking part and I hope we keep doing it again and again and again.
The greenhouse looks great!

On Friday 12th October 2018
I went to Prestatyn high school to do an English lesson. When I got there I was taken to the library with Matteo and all the other children. First we made name tags so we knew each others’ names. Then we were introduced to our teachers that were teaching us. The teachers names were Miss Ridings and Miss Moore- they were both lovely. My favourite was Miss Moore because she was so funny and caring.

Next we were split into groups, and we had year 9 helpers in our group. We were given a sheet of paper to draw a product of any sort. I drew a pencil case that when you think of something it appears in it. So if your pen runs out then you can think of one and then it appears in it. Then we had to write a persuasive leaflet telling them to buy your product. I was one of the first ones to finish. Then we went to type it on the computers. I liked typing on the computers. Then we printed it, then it was time to go back to school. I really enjoyed it and I’m excited for next time!

The 12th October 2018
Me and Daisy went to Prestatyn High for a English session. We knew a lot of the people there because we had gone on another day but I had gone with Evie. When we got there we walked down the hallway and everybody was staring at us. We sat down and had a talk with some of the year 9s, then everybody got put on to different tables.

We had to match up all of the words with the description such as: Rule of three or rhetorical question. We had to make up our our own product it could be anything and mine was called the Graphic Game Box. We had to write all of its features on a piece of paper. After that we had a break and read some books and talked; also had some biscuits. Then we had to write a persuasive leaflet to advertise our product. When we had done that we went on to the computers to type it up- there I saw Ben B -I haven’t seen him in ages! Then I saw Elena!

At the end we got walked back down the hall and it was so crowded I was like a field mouse trying to make my way through and they were cows trampling on me, then out of nowhere I heard this voice shouting my name. Then I saw the tallest person ever, it was Seth! We hugged and then got pushed away like a herd of sheep.

At Prestatyn everybody was really kind and lovely even though they didn’t know why there were year 6s there. The teachers are lovely people and will help you and always have something ready for you to do.

That was my day at Prestatyn High and I look forward going there in the future.

17th of October  2018

At 9:00 me and Abbie went to Prestatyn high school to do a two hour math session. When I got in I was welcomed by an adult and was told to “follow Sam and Lily.” I said goodbye to my mum and followed Sam and Lily on the way to the classroom I saw Charlie K and William D. Seconds after I saw William D I got welcomed into the classroom and saw Abbie hastily swaying her hand to and fro. Knowing what she wanted me to do I shot through the air towards the seat next to her. In the flick of a lambs tail Mrs Gordon went around the tables asking for people’s names.

In a few seconds I got the first puzzle correct. The puzzle was to find the order of shapes with the given hints. In about 3 minutes of waiting and we got onto the second puzzle which was where we had to figure the height of the 9 pupils. I figured out 7 pupils heights but only because they were the same height. I didn’t see any other clues including them so I don’t know how the other people figured it out. In the middle of the three puzzles there were these two questions: the first one was if all the students stood on each others’ shoulders will we be able to touch the top of Snowdon. We were told we had calculators which we did. Then we were told to vote if yes, no or unsure 2 people were unsure 9 people voted no and 14 people voted yes.Then we were told to figure it out. The answer was 2700 because 1800 x 1.5, which was the agreed height for students, and the height of Snowdon is 1085 m.

The last thing we were told to do was a true or false list and on it we had to write why we thought that. After that she snapped her arm and pointed at the door and said, “Okay its time to leave, goodbye. I hope I see you again.” We (me and Abbie) shot up and slowly ran towards the door with every one else.

On the 17th of October  2018 me and Ben went to Prestatyn High School to do a maths lesson.

We were with the teacher, Mrs Gordon, in a year nine class. In a blink of an eye Mrs Gordon went around the tables to ask our names. I knew my anxiety would make me say anything but my name, but I eventually answered, “Um um A-abbie.” She smiled at me and moved on.

The first question that we had to answer was a simple yet complicated question about putting shapes in the correct order. I knew the answer, I just didn’t know how to say it so I didn’t put my hand up. “Abbie!” said Mrs Gordon. I nearly exploded but I managed to say the right thing. The next question was quite hard though, it was all about height. We spent the rest of the day doing that.

At the end we did a question about whether we could all reach the top of Snowdon on each others shoulders. We got it right!

When Mrs Gordon said, “Alrighty class time to leave!” me and Ben dashed towards the door and bolted into my dad’s car.

Monday 11th June

We had a work shop ; I did not know what it was about until I saw the police then I thought I need to be sensible. We all sat down and we were told a true story. We were not allowed to know the punishment because it was extremely private and its illegal to share it. It all started when some friends were playing a game called ‘Fortnite.’ They were being mean to a kid called Lleon.  Another child joined the school snapchat group and called himself  redpirateo8. No one knew who he was. He dared Lleon to go in to a haunted house and spray a red smiley face. He did and got very hurt.

There were 4 suspects who were playing ‘Fortnite’ with Lleon. The 4 suspects were:
James, George and Megan. James was found guilty at the trial. The jury voted that he was. I was the lawyer/solicitor and I voted he was not guilty.

Monday 11th June

We had a work shop. I did not really know what it was about until we started. We all went in the hall and sat down in rows.

We were told a true story (some parts we could not know because it was private). At the start Lleon was playing the new game ‘Fortnight’ and his friends were being horrible to him because he was not very good at the game.

One of his friends made a snapchat account and friended him. Lleon didn’t know who he was but accepted anyway. This ‘friend’  told Lleon secrets and Lleon told one of his secrets to him. But then redpirate08 dared him to go in the haunted looking house or he would tell everyone his secret!

So Lleon went to the house with red spray paint and drew a smiley face. The floor was so rotted that he fell through three storeys and went to hospital.

At the end we found out his friend James was redpirate08 and he got in trouble.
